Movistar Students launches a new school

El Movistar Estudiantes pone en marcha una nueva escuela

The Delegated Sports Area of ​​the Madrid City Council, in collaboration with Movistar Estudiantes, has launched a new municipal basketball school in the Caja Mágica, aimed at children between 7 and 18 years oldaccording to the council of the capital of Spain.

Basketball thus lands in the San Fermín neighbourhood, on the banks of the Manzanares, with the creation of this new school in the Usera district, which will take place in the Caja Mágica’s Indoor North pavilion, and which will include the categories of beginners, benjamin, alevín, infant, cadet and junior.

The Delegate Councilor for Sports of the Madrid City Council, Sofía Miranda, highlighted that this initiative is part of the “big bet” of the capital for grassroots sport to bring sports practice “to the youngest” in this year of 2022 in which the city celebrates the designation as World Capital of Sport.

Classes will take place Monday and Wednesday for the categories between 9 and 18 years oldand on Fridays it will be the turn for the little ones between 7 and 8 years old in the initiation category.
