Moto2 Pole for Fermin Aldeguer at Assen

Fermin Aldeguer took the top spot in Moto2 qualifying at the TT Assen circuit in the Netherlands. The Spanish rider smashed the track record to earn pole position, beating championship leader Sergio García Dols and Taiga Ogura. Fellow countrymen Manu González, Alonso López, and Alberto Arenas also turned in good performances.

Injuries Mar Weekend’s Action

Three riders will not participate in the Grand Prix due to injury. Joe Roberts has been ruled out with a fractured right collarbone, while Filip Salac and Xavi Cardelús suffered head injuries and will not ride. Roberts underwent surgery and was present in his garage at American Racing.

Favorable Conditions for Q2

The conditions were ideal for Q2, with sunny skies, no wind, and high temperatures of 22°C (72°F) in the air and 39°C (102°F) on the asphalt.

In Q2, Izan Guevara had an accident in turn 8 but was unhurt, while Jake Dixon and Filip Sala also crashed. Aldeguer put himself in the first position by himself, avoiding the yellow flags and improving his time.
