Morbius will be longer than Venom: Let There Be Carnage

CineMark has revealed the official length of the upcoming film Marvel, Morbius, produced by Sony. The film should be longer than Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but shorter than Spider-Man: No Way Home, which ultimately leaves very little time for the film to introduce a whole new character and integrate him into the universe Marvel of Sony (the Spider-Verse).

The film, scheduled for release January 26, 2022 in France, will last one hour and forty-eight minutes, according to CineMark. It’s almost twenty minutes longer than the rest of Venom, and one hour less than No Way Home, which lasted two hours and thirty minutes. This fairly short duration will be the only way for general public viewers to understand the history of the Dr Michael Morbius (Jared Leto), who finds a cure for his rare blood disease, costing him his existence.

Morbius

Morbius is a well-known character from Marvel comics, generally related to Blade, the vampire hunter, as well as Spider-Man. We don’t know whether Morbius will encounter a version of Spiderman Where Venom from its first release (in the form of a cameo).

The film has a lot to tell in such a short time, since Morbius is not a character particularly well known to the public. However, the shorter duration might allow the story to focus more on the vampirism of Morbius in particular, rather than procrastinating too long on uninteresting side stories at first.
