The record for the film in the cinema that has been pushed back the most times. So far held by the feature film New Mutants of Josh boone, arrived in 2020, it is now the Morbius of Daniel Espinosa which takes this title. If many fans hoped to discover the film definitively this January 28, 2022, we will now have to wait for the April 1, 2022.

A tweet from Geek To Me Radio compared the number of postponements of Morbius and of New Mutants. And for the feature film around the Doctor Morbius of Jared leto, we have just passed the stage of five postponements.

The reason for this delay is not necessarily known but could be due to the fear of Sony to release such a big title in a time that is once again becoming uncertain in the world. Due to the variant Omicron from covid-19, many European countries have closed their doors and ordered the closure of several leisure places such as cinemas. The strategy of Sony would therefore take advantage of the hype for the Spider-Verse renewed thanks to No Way Home to allow as many people as possible to come and enjoy Morbius.

However, this umpteenth postponement can also have the opposite effect by creating weariness in people. In any case, the film will be the bridge between the different universes. Spiderman because Adrian Toomes aka the Vulture (Michael Keaton) recently shot reshoots as Vulture.
