England deputy captain Moeen Ali for the seven-match T20I series against Pakistan has said that Harry Brooke is a 360-degree cricketer and will continue to serve England for many years to come. Brooke went on an unbeaten 81 from just 35 balls with a strike rate of around 232 as England posted a gargantuan 221/3 in their third T20I in Karachi as the visiting hosts lost by 63.
Harry Brook also became England’s joint leading scorer in the fourth T20 with 34 runs, but the visitors lost the match by three runs. Pakistan leveled the seven-game series 2-2.
Moeen Ali told the Daily Mail on Tuesday: “In my opinion Harry Brooke (81) and Ben Duckett (70 not out on 42 balls in the third T20) had a great partnership. One of the best players I have ever played for England .in T20 cricket .have seen.”
Moeen said: “The right and left arm combination made a great partnership and the two complemented each other very well. The way they put pressure on Pakistan quickly and didn’t let the roulette wheel settle was fantastic to watch.” “Brooke is really a 360-degree player who plays proper cricket shots because he has a lot of good shots,” he said.
Significantly, Harry Brooke is in excellent form in the ongoing seven-match T20 series against Pakistan. In the four series games so far, Brooke has scored 188 runs with an impressive 94 average and a 174.07 strike rate. While talking about his T20 International run, Brook has 253 runs in eight matches.
