As we mentioned earlier, Xiaomi is working on making a new version of its interface available for Android smartphones. We are talking about MIUI 14 which, according to predictions, could arrive earlier than usual.
At the moment, we are facing the first screenshots of the new Xiaomi interface. Images that reveal the first news that MIUI 14 will implement, based on Android 13.
MIUI 14 will bring more features to the Gallery app
One of the novelties introduced with the launch of MIUI 14 will focus on the Gallery application present on Xiaomi smartphones. Inspired by Google Lens, it will be possible to copy text directly from images or photographs.
Another novelty is called “on this day” that will serve as a memory album for Xiaomi users. In short, this feature will remind users of photos captured on a given day in previous years.
More options for sound playback
MIUI 14 will support Bluetooth Low Energy technology made available by Qualcomm. This feature will give users more options to play audio on their wireless devices.
For example, it will be possible to share audio with wireless headphones from friends or family. So everyone can use their headphones, but everyone will hear the same music.
Fraud Protection
Looking now at the user privacy/security department, we have the implementation of new anti-fraud alerts. As its name suggests, this mechanism aims to prevent fraudulent schemes for everyone who uses MIUI 14.
This new security option will focus on the Phone and Messaging apps. In short, what it will do is try to avoid any fraudulent call or message and warn the user accordingly.
New design for the Clock app
Another of the images now published reveals a new design for the Clock application present on Xiaomi smartphones. This one will be quite simple in appearance, with a clear emphasis on setting alarms or clocks with different time zones.
The MIUI 14 notification system will also undergo some modifications. From now on it will be easier for the user to organize the alerts he will receive on his smartphone.
The source also reiterates that this year we will not have an intermediate version of MIUI evolution. That is, there will be no MIUI 13.5, with Xiaomi jumping directly to MIUI 14. It remains to be seen when it will be presented.
