With Android 13 due to be released next May, major brands are rushing to adapt their interfaces to Google’s new operating system.

And it seems that Xiaomi and OPPO are ahead in the race and are currently developing the next versions of their interfaces, Xiaomi 13.5 and ColorOS 13.

The Google I/O 2022 conference is scheduled for May 11 and 12, and it will most likely be at this event that the tech giant will present its upcoming Android 13 operating system.

Of course, the main smartphone brands that base their models on the Google operating system will have to prepare new versions of their interfaces to receive Android 13.

And apparently, Xiaomi and OPPO are ahead of the race and are currently working on MIUI 13.5 and ColorOS 13, respectively. The information comes through the Digital Chat Station leaker, which also anticipates that the OPPO interface should be available in the second half of this year.

Unfortunately, the well-known leaker does not advance a possible MIUI 13.5 release date, but recently the new interface logo was spotted in official Xiaomi code.

Despite the strong similarities with the previous logo, there is a small big difference that indicates the new version of the interface. Removed a slash on the number “3” that makes it look like the number “5”. A subtle design that can even go unnoticed by less observant users, but that suggests that it is the new version 13.5 of MIUI.

For the rest, the new design is presented in different colors and in a simpler and more elegant way. Several experts suggest that these two features may represent the interface itself, which should become more intuitive, easy to use and, apparently, elegant.

First Developer Preview version of Android 13 only available for Pixel smartphones

However, and according to Google’s release schedule, the first Developer Preview version of Android 13 is available. But for now this availability is only for the tech giant’s Pixel smartphones.

While Google may present the new Android 13 at its conference scheduled for May, users will still have to wait a while for the stable version to reach their smartphones.

In fact, only at the end of this year will users be able to receive the stable version on their computers. However, after Google’s presentation, a beta version of the new Android 13 may be available. But apparently, it may be eligible for high-end smartphones from major brands that operate under Android, such as the Galaxy S22 models from Samsung or Xiaomi series 12. .
