The big debut of MIBR and Leviatán in the VCT Americas Stage 1 was this Saturday. They played with their new teammate, Andrew “Verno” Maust, for the first time.
Things got real when MIBR made some changes to their lineup. Agustin “Nozwerr” Ibarra stepped back, and Verno joined the team. Fans were worried about how the team would communicate with the language change and the new guy.
The match between MIBR and Leviatán was intense. The first game was on Split, which the North Americans chose. It was tied 6-6 at halftime, but MIBR took off after that and won 13-7. Then, on Icebox, LEV got ahead early, but MIBR caught up and won 13-8.

Verno’s first game with the team was a big deal. In an interview after the match, Eduardo “xenom” Soeiro and Gabriel “cortezia” Cortez talked to Guilherme “Nyang” Coelho about how it’s been with the new teammate. Cortezia said Verno is “adding a lot” and that communication is “going smoothly”.
