Matt Leung-Harrison, lead gameplay designer for League of Legends, dropped a preview of patch 25.7 on X. The update targets some major balance changes.
Patch 25.7 Sneak Peek
The Catalyst system gets a boost. It’s been underwhelming compared to Lost Chapter. But Riot isn’t planning to lower its price – that would make it too easy to stall gameplay.
Let’s look at the champions getting buffed:
- Brand
- Ivern
- Olaf
- Shaco (attack damage)
- Trundle
- Volibear (attack damage)
- Zoe
And the ones getting nerfed:
- Darius
- Gwen
- Lilia
- Lulu
- Naafiri
What’s Changing?
Naafiri’s getting nerfed because it’s still too powerful. Other champions like Xerath, Yone, and Yorick are getting adjusted.
System-wise, Catalyst and Glaive Umbral are getting buffs. Recall Homeguard is getting nerfed, and lane swap detection is being tweaked.
Keep in mind, this is just a preview – things might change when patch 25.7 rolls out. What do you think of the proposed changes? Share your thoughts in the comments.
