Metros announce hiring of Orlando Johnson and return of Ramon Galloway

The Santiago Metros announced the return of Ramon Galloway and the hiring of Orlando Johnson, both will debut when the team faces the Leones de Santo Domingo in the resumption of the Dominican Republic National Basketball League (LNBRD).

Galloway, 31, can perform at positions 1-2 with a great shot from mid to long range. With his speed he tends to easily get to the basket. Johnson, 33, is a shooting guard with NBA experience. He was selected in the second round (36th) by the Sacramento Kings in 2012 and immediately traded to the Indiana Pacers. He has played development league several times, also in Spain, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, among others.

He comes from participating in the Philippine Professional Basketball League, where he averaged 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists in 41.7 minutes per game with the San Miguel Beermen.

The Metros will play their next two games at the Arena del Cibao, tomorrow (Tuesday) they host the Leones de Santo Domingo at 8:00 pm and on Thursday the Soles de Santo Domingo at 5:00 pm
