Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has vowed to support every step taken by Sudan’s allies in peace, unity and integrity. The United Nations-sponsored dialogue between all parties in Sudan has been, is and will continue to be.
The Cabinet expressed these intentions during a virtual meeting chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday.
According to the SPA, Acting Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Majid Al-Qasbi said that the Cabinet had presented several reports on the current regional and international situation.
A report on the outcome of talks and meetings with Saudi Arabia and friendly countries during this week was also presented to the Cabinet.
It was informed that the purpose of the meetings and talks was to expand the cooperative relations with the brotherly and friendly countries, to give new dimensions to the bilateral relations, to promote and to adopt ways to help in common interests.
In addition, advancing the struggle for global peace and security was also an important goal. The Cabinet expressed its desire for peace and stability in Yemen and the solution of the humanitarian problems of the Yemeni brothers and said that the Arab League for Yemen should protect the region from Houthi threats.
It is constantly striving to ensure the security of world trade and shipping, while the Iranian-backed Houthis continue to violate the laws of the seas and international humanitarian law.
The cabinet made 11 decisions. The most important of which are:
Approval of amendments to Article 7 of the Basic Agreement for the Establishment of the Global Solar Energy Alliance, approval of the Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations with Norway, approval of Saudi Arabia’s accession to the World Ocean Alliance, World Organization and the Saudi Ministry of Tourism Approval of Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of an international academy, approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with Ukraine for cooperation in the exchange of information on terrorism funding, money laundering and related crimes.
The head of the human rights body was given the authority to sign a memorandum of understanding with Qatar in the field of anti-human trafficking. The authority to sign agreements with Ukraine on science, technology and innovation has been assigned to the head of King Abdulaziz Science and Technology City.
