Media rights will be sold separately for the first time in the men’s and women’s tournaments, find out what the process will be

The International Cricket Council (ICC) will issue its first Invitation to Tender (ITT) for media rights for its next cycle of events from June 20. The world cricket body gave information about it on Friday. ITT is for the Indian market only, with six packages available on TVs only, either digital or a combination of both.

ICC’s rights feature is that for the first time, men’s and women’s rights will be sold separately and potential entrants can bid on 16 shows for men (ages 8+) and six shows for women (ages 4+). ). In total there are 362 and 103 parties.

According to the ICC, interested parties will have to submit bids for the first four years of men’s events. However, they also have the option to bid for an eight-year partnership.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardyce said in a statement: “International cricket will continue to attract huge audiences and has garnered significant interest from broadcasters for ICC events.
