The Maranatha boys needed additional time to prevail 44-43 and remain as an option for the finals of the contest that brings together the participation of more than five thousand athletes who compete in 27 sports disciplines.
In the match played on the field of the Los Mina club, the winners and representatives of District 2 engaged in a duel from start to finish against their opponents from the Luz y Esfuerzo club, winning the victory to continue in the fight for the crown of the event.

The boys from Cancino beat Calero’s team 44-39, María Mar defeated Hainamosa 47-32, Juan Carlos Ramos beat Ramón Matías Mella 31-28, Los Mina disposed of San Vicente 45-33.

The Municipal Games are organized by the Santo Domingo Este City Council, through an Organizing Committee headed by Provincial Senator Antonio Taveras Guzmán and Mayor Manuel Jiménez.
The event is coordinated by the Sports Directorate of the Municipal Mayor’s Office, directed by Professor Roberto Neris.
The technical, competitive and participation success has marked the contest, which with great effort has been rescued by Manuel Jiménez, after an eight-year paralysis, since the last version was held in 2014.
