Manchester’s big derby ended without a goal. United was better, but City had its moments too.
The game started strong with Garnacho’s amazing run in the first seconds. Rúben Dias stopped him and got a yellow card. Dias played well despite the card.
In the first half, United’s player missed a big chance after a perfect cross from Dalot. Dorgu and Ugarte could have scored too, but they missed. On the other side, Foden and Gundogan tried from far away, but Kevin De Bruyne didn’t succeed either.
The second half started like the first – with a Portuguese player getting a yellow card. This time it was Bernardo Silva. Dalot got a yellow card too, making three yellows for Portuguese players.
City had a big chance in the second half when Casemiro made a mistake. Foden got the ball, but Mazraoui reacted fast and stopped him. Matheus Nunes played well on the other side of the field too.
Both coaches tried to win from the bench. Zirkzee came in and almost scored, but Ederson saved his team ten minutes before the end. Bruno Fernandes was one of the best players. He kept creating chances for his teammates, but they didn’t score. Bernardo Silva wasn’t at his best, starting on the right and moving to the middle, but not shining.
Ruben Amorim could have been the third coach to beat Pep Guardiola three times in a row, but he had to settle for a point.
