Magnitude 7.1 earthquake hits the Philippines

Manila: As a result of the strong earthquake in the Philippines, 4 people died and dozens were injured.

According to foreign media, the intensity of the earthquake in the island of Luzon in the Philippines has been recorded at 7.1 on the Richter scale, while the tremors of the earthquake were felt 400 kilometers away from the island to Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

Officials said the earthquake struck at 8:43 a.m. local time, centered about 13 kilometers southeast of the town of Dolores in Abra province, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to the report, Luzon Island is the most densely populated city in the Philippines, several buildings were damaged by the earthquake and dozens of people were injured who are being treated in hospitals.

The earthquake caused panic among the people and people came out to the open spaces. Officials have expressed fear of an increase in casualties.
