Lula Da Silva received the "Pepe" Mujica in Brasilia

The President of Brazil, Lula Da Silvareceived the former Uruguayan president Jose “Pepe” Mujica in his office in the Planalto Palace, in Brasilia.

In the meeting —in which the general secretary of the Single Union of Workers of Rental and Horizontal Buildings (Suterh), Victor Santa Mariaand the former Minister of Education Nicholas Trottaon behalf of the Metropolitan University for Education and Work (UMET)—, the leader of the Broad Front reaffirmed his commitment to “promoting a regional space for cooperation and integration.”

From Argentina, through UMET, they joined the initiative through the Marco Aurelio García Future Institute, founded together with Lula da Silva in 2017.

Weeks ago, Trotta had posted a photo with Mujica on his Twitter account. “Always a joy to visit him on his farm and be able to be part of a new initiative that promotes cooperation and integration on the continent,” the former Minister of Education had written.
