Lucknow Super Giants in trouble, captain KL Rahul not sure if he will play

IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul may miss the first half of the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. KL Rahul’s injuries are serious and he has been sent to London for better treatment. If KL Rahul does not play, Nicholls Puran will take over the captaincy of Lucknow. On Thursday, LSG issued a statement appointing Nicholas Puran as the team’s vice-captain. However, no official statement has been made yet about KL Rahul not playing. But KL Rahul will not take part in the final match of the Test series against England.

KL Rahul’s fitness update has been released by BCCI. According to BCCI, KL Rahul’s injury is serious. The BCCI medical team is monitoring KL Rahul’s injury and he has been sent to London for better diagnosis. Soon everything will be clear about KL Rahul’s injury. However, due to this injury, KL Rahul cannot take part in the Dharamsala Test.

KL Rahul also got injured last year

KL Rahul was part of the first match of the five-Test series played against England. In this match too, Rahul played a brilliant innings of 86 runs. But Rahul got injured after the first Test. It was claimed that Rahul’s injury was not serious and he would return to the team by the third Test in Rajkot. However, this did not happen and when Rahul left Rajkot, he did not become part of Team India even in the fourth Test which was played in Ranchi.

KL Rahul not playing is a big blow for LSG. Even before that, Rahul was unable to play in more than half of the games last season due to injury. However, Rahul made a strong comeback after his injury and was an important part of India’s World Cup campaign. But Rahul’s absence in the first half of the IPL reduces his chances of playing in the T20 World Cup.
