Dominican driver Jimmy Llibre is getting ready to compete in the first race of the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup North America Championship, to be held from March 15 to 17 at the Sebring track in Florida.

Jimmy Llibre is the first and only Dominican to win the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Championship, and this year he moves up a category based on his great performance last year.

In this championship, Jimmy Llibre competes alongside paid drivers and factory drivers of the brand, who are riders who are only 100% dedicated to motorsport.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge consists of 8 dates with a total of 16 races, where Jimmy will be sharing the track with Formula 1 in the Miami Grand Prix and in the last race in Austin Texas.

With this championship, the rider becomes part of the young talent program of the Porsche brand, which consists of choosing two drivers at the end of the year who had an excellent development and they welcome him to develop him and be able to be a factory driver for the brand.

His goal for this 2023 is to be able to stand out in each event and become a factory driver of the Porsche brand.

A week ago he was testing at the Sebring track in Florida, where the first race of the championship will be from March 15 to 17.

“I really feel very happy for the confidence that my MDK Motorsports team has in me, since I have never had the possibility to test before the race due to budget issues,” he said.
