Lineth Vila is elected president of the Santiago Table Tennis Association

Lineth Vila was elected president of the Santiago Table Tennis Association in the election process held last weekend at the headquarters of the Santiago Sports Union (UDESA).

Lineth, who assumes the presidency of the Santiago Table Tennis Association for the first time, will lead the new executive committee for the next four years.

The recently elected executive committee is also made up of Máximo Morel, vice president; David Vila, general secretary; Jeannette Mota, treasurer, as well as the members José Alfonso Reyes, Evelio Lozano and Danilvia Estrella.

The electoral commission was made up of Ana Elsa Santos, president of UDESA, as well as Gary Hernández and José Enrique Rosario, general secretary and treasurer, respectively, of the Dominican Table Tennis Federation (Fedoteme).

Dr. Daniel Landrón, president of Fedoteme, stated that, as in Santiago, elections will also be held in other associations in compliance with all statutory regulations and procedures.

“The Table Tennis Federation is demonstrating great institutional strengthening, attached to compliance with our statutes,” said Dr. Landrón.

Lineth Vila, who headed the number one plate, the only one that appeared in the process, replaces Luis Arzeno in the presidency, who had been in the last two terms as president of the

Table Tennis Association of Santiago.

Shortly after being sworn in, along with the other members of the executive committee, Lineth promised to continue working on the strengthening and growth of table tennis in Ciudad Corazón.
