Ledger Launches Trade in Cardano

Cryptocurrency hardware wallet developer Ledger recently announced that they now also support Cardano (ADA). This allows users to purchase, send and receive ADA all through their Ledger Live application. With Ledger now also offering ADA, they can now say they are offering the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market value.

The fact that Ledger now also supports ADA was much appreciated within the Cardano community. There was also a lot of hype surrounding the launch of this functionality.

Ledger announced in an announcement that Cardano features are now available on the desktop version of Ledger Live. Mobile support has to be postponed for a while, but it will also be coming soon.

Users can therefore easily access their ADA via their Ledger devices. Users only need to create an ADA account, an extra wallet is not necessary. They can also buy their ADA directly through this route.

Developments around Cardano

Cardano has been doing very well lately. Her network is also growing fast. Recently we saw that the network has reached a new milestone. The network now has 1.2 million delegators, or investors who secure their ADA. In addition, more than 1,000 projects have already been built on Cardano.

In addition, hard work is being done on the new Vasil hard fork, which should improve the scalability of the network. The Cardano community has forecast a price of $1 for ADA this month, partly due to the launch of the Vasil hard fork.

Whether this will actually happen, and whether the Vasil update has a significant effect on the price of the coin is still unclear. We did see that ADA outperformed XRP in recent weeks. For this reason, ADA also managed to overtake XRP in the rankings. So it will be an interesting period for ADA.
