Laguna Tenerife by Lluís Costa

Laguna Tenerife has signed point guard Lluís Costa to a two-year deal with an option for a third season. The 1.87-meter guard arrives from Covirán Granada, where he spent the past four seasons and was a key player in the team’s promotion to the ACB and subsequent consolidation in the league. During the 23/24 season, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and one steal per game with a rating of 13.2 credits.

A native of Barcelona, Costa was capped at the international level with Spain’s junior teams, winning European titles at the U16 and U20 levels, as well as a U17 World Cup appearance. In the ACB, he has played for several teams, including Covirán Granada, Manresa, and Obradoiro, accumulating a total of 107 games.

Costa’s career began in the lower categories of Barcelona, where he won cadet and junior championships, and later played for the Barça B team in LEB Plata. He has also had stints at Peñas Huescas, Autocid Ford Burgos, Básquet Manresa, Real Betis, and had a brief spell in Hungary before joining Covirán Granada.
