Kuwait: Bridge becomes a symbol of death, horrified by horrific events

Kuwait City: The number of suicides on Kuwait’s famous bridge Jaber Bridge has been on the rise. After the Egyptian citizen, the Indian citizen also tried to commit suicide by jumping from the bridge.

In another incident in less than 24 hours, an Indian man tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, but a private boatman managed to save him.

A security source told Al-Qabas that the interior operation room received a report of a drowning man on the Jaber Bridge while a private cruiser managed to rescue him and handed him over to security officials and an ambulance.

The investigation revealed that the suicide bomber was an Indian national who parked his car on the bridge and jumped from above.

The source added that the victim, an Indian national, is 36 years old and in good health and was sent to the police station to take legal action against him, noting that the public security sector Lieutenant General Faisal Al Nawaf has requested deportation of the concerned Indian citizen.

Security forces, with the help of firefighters and ambulances, also rescued an Egyptian migrant who tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge last night.

A security source said that there was a taxi driver with the Egyptian immigrants. The Egyptian citizen asked the taxi driver to stop on the bridge and then got out of the car and jumped off the bridge, so the taxi driver immediately called the Interior Ministry. Informed

Security, firefighters and medical emergency personnel at the scene found the man injured at the scene and rushed him to hospital for treatment.

Security sources told a local daily that the Interior Ministry had decided to deport him after the end of his treatment period.
