Korean group highlights interest in investing in natural gas in the Dominican market

The multinational conglomerate with Korean capital SK Group, through its subsidiary SK Energy and Services, confirmed its interest in making significant investments in the energy sector of the Dominican Republic. This company is one of the largest in the Asian energy sector, with investments in the main global energy and liquefied natural gas markets.

The information was shared by Youngwook Yoo, global vice president for new business development at SKE&S, who participated as a speaker in one of the panels organized by the Dominican embassy in Korea as part of the celebration of the Dominican week in that country.

In order to strengthen ties of collaboration and commercial exchange, the Dominican embassy in Korea organized the Dominican week in Korea, which is part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The agenda was made up of a series of business meetings, social celebrations and commemorative events, which will be chaired by senior officials from both countries and with the assistance of important business executives from both nations.

The private sector representation was made up of executives from the Korea-Dominican Republic Chamber of Commerce (DomChamKorea), the multinational SK E&S, Rizek Group, Posco, the Korean Airports Corporation (KAC), Kmedihub, Fedex, Soowoojapbang, Dohwa and the Korea Development Institute.

Representing the Dominican state, the Vice Minister of Energy, Rafael Gómez; the Deputy Minister of Health, Leandro Villanueva; General Director of the Airport Department, Víctor Pichardo, and by the other senior officials of the Council of Free Zones, Pro-Dominican and the Ministry of Agriculture.
