KL Rahul Buys 7 Acres Land with Father-in-Law Sunil Shetty in Thane

Indian cricketer KL Rahul and his father-in-law, Suniel Shetty, have made a significant investment in real estate, purchasing a 7-acre plot in Ovale, a locality in western Thane. According to property data company Square Yards, the transaction was completed in March 2025, with the duo paying ₹98.5 million for the land. The deal also incurred ₹6.896 million in stamp duty and ₹30,000 in registration fees.

The Ovale area is strategically located near Ghodbunder Road, making it a prime spot for business due to its proximity to Mumbai, Thane, and other western suburbs. This is not Rahul’s first major real estate investment; last year, he and his wife, Athiya Shetty, acquired a luxurious 3,350-square-foot apartment in Sandhu Palace, Pali Hill, Bandra, valued at over ₹200 million. The apartment came with four parking slots and incurred ₹12 million in stamp duty.

Rahul’s personal life has also seen significant developments recently, with the birth of his daughter on March 24, 2025. The arrival of the new baby led to Rahul missing the initial matches of IPL 2025.
