Kid’s Hope Golf Tournament: Golf with Love

Hello Fevers. I have always said that one of the best things about golf is that it is a charitable instrument. Charity tournaments are popular all over the world, and are used by large companies, corporations and institutions to help others. The Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI), held its traditional event at the Punta Espada Golf Club with a massive participation of golfers and sponsors, resulting in a great tournament that served not only for entertainment, but also to help save lives. . The activity had two days of play and great support from sponsors who, with their contributions and placement of tents on the field, made the event shine. At the end of each round both the Sport Bar and the Rest. Hole 19 at Punta Espada was packed with golfers eager to have a good time sharing with friends. Alexandra Matos de Purcell, president of FACCI, was excited and moved by the results of the day. “I feel very happy for the great support received this weekend and always. I thank the sponsors, the golf course, the golfers, and all the work staff who selflessly have put their hand so that this ship reaches a good port. With your help we save lives of innocent souls. God pay them”, said Mrs. Matos. Two things stood out in the tournament: Willy Pumarol’s selfless collaboration hitting mulligan drives on the 18th hole, as well as Marco Santoni’s additional putt on the 8th hole, both sold for RD$1,000.00, achieving a good collection. The other highlight was the innovative raffle made with balls thrown from a helicopter to a flag placed on the PE driving range. The three that were closest to the hole took the prizes, plastic works by renowned Dominican artists.
