Bollywood singer Kailash Kher is known for his brilliant voice. He has performed in more than 20 languages. Kailash Kher has also composed many songs that have proved to be super hits. Kailash Kher recently revealed in an interview that he has been replaced in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Chalte Chalte. He also recorded the song, but when the audio CD came out, his name was not on it.
In 2003, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee released the film Chalte Chalte. This film was directed by Aziz Mirza. Kailash Kher narrated that his song was replaced by Sukhwinder Singh.
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Kailash Kher said that the director asked him to sing in “Chalte Chalte”. He said, “I was called to sing a song written by Javed Akhtar.” I thought if a great director calls me, it won’t be bad. He must call me to sing. Those are the big names I’m talking about. So I went and sang. The song is also a wrestling song. Singing required a lot of effort.
Kailash Kher recorded some songs and also told his sister that he got a chance to sing in Shah Rukh Khan’s film. However, when the film’s first audio CD was released, he was surprised to find that his name had been changed to something else. Kailash said, “The first CD didn’t have Kailash Kher’s name on it, it belonged to someone else.” At the time, I thought – big men do small things too.
The song Kailash Kher recorded was Lai Vi Na Gayi. Which was later performed by Sukhwinder Singh. Kailash Kher said that his eyes were opened after this incident.
