Juventus, as expected, will start in June another sports trial. The prosecutor of the Italian Football Federation, Giuseppe Chiné, has notified the bianconero club, its directors and several former directors this Friday after the second part of the investigation into the entity’s accounts, due to the deferral of salaries, relations with agents and with other clubs in Serie A.
Juve, in accordance with article 6 of the sports justice code, will be part of the trial for strict liability, while Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Fabio Paratici, Federico Cherubini, Giovanni Manna, Paolo Morganti and Stefano Braghin They are accused of having violated article 4.1, which deals with sports loyalty.
The accusations refer to salaries formally cut and substantially deferred in the 2019/20 balance sheets (“for having deposited in Lega Serie A agreements to reduce four months of salary of 21 players and coach Sarri, omitting the economic integration agreements of three monthly payments out of four already closed with them”) and 2020/21 (“same breach, in relation to the four-month salary cut for 17 players, knowing that there would be no reduction, since the players would have received the same figures in the following seasons, something that did not happen only for Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo”). Besides, Some irregular relations with soccer players’ agents and “confidential agreements” are under the magnifying glass of the prosecution for player purchase and sale operations with several clubs (Sampdoria, Atalanta, Sassuolo, Udinese, Bologna and Cagliari), which caused further investigations in different Italian prosecutors and would have violated federal regulations.
On Monday, in addition, Juventus will know the fate of the first sports trial, that of fictitious capital gains, which returned to the FIGC Court of Appeal, where It will be decided on the punishment of 15 points suspended by the Guarantee Collegewith a probable reduction of the same.
Juventus, for the second trial, sought the path of an agreement with the prosecution, proposing to pay only a fine. Prosecutors, on the other hand, they consider it necessary to also add another punishment in the classification, although the journey will be long: Federal Court, Court of Appeal and College of Guarantee, third and last degree.
