Juan Nuñez Considering Barcelona Deal Amid First-Rights Scenario

The ACB has announced the list of players who have been included in the right of first refusal, following the end of their contracts with their respective clubs. This means that a renewal offer has been made to these players.

Among those included is Juan Nunez, a point guard from Ratiopharm Ulm who has ties to Real Madrid and Spain. He has an offer from Barcelona, but the club has the right to match it and retain him or, if he declines, force him to play outside of Spain.

Ricky Rubio, on the other hand, has been released from Barcelona’s payroll, giving him the option to sign with Joventut, as has been proposed in recent weeks.

The following players have been included in the right of first refusal:

  • Sidy Cissoko – Baskonia
  • Matt Costello – Baskonia
  • Finn Delany – Casademont Zaragoza
  • Sergi García – Río Breogán
  • Martinas Geben – BAXI Manresa
  • Ethan Happ – Dreamland Gran Canaria
  • Matas Jogela – Río Breogán
  • Aday Mara – Casademont Zaragoza
  • Marin Maric – MoraBanc Andorra
  • Jean Montero – Dreamland Gran Canaria
  • Vanja Marinkovic – Baskonia
  • Anthony Polite – Río Breogán
  • Devin Robinson – BAXI Manresa
  • Yankuba Sima – Unicaja
  • Mark Smith – Casademont Zaragoza
  • Darius Thompson – Baskonia
  • Juan Núñez – Real Madrid
  • Mindaugas Kuzminskas – Unicaja Málaga

If another club does not bid on these players, the original renewal offer from their current team would become effective. Each club in the Endesa League has 13 days to present an offer, and the player’s team of origin would have five calendar days to match it.
