Joe Root made history in Test format, became only second batsman to do so for England

With Root completing his 11,000 runs in Test format, he has become only the second batsman to do so since England.

Joe Root scored a 56-run innings during the England team’s first innings against Ireland. During this, he barely completed 52 races, he touched this point. Now in Test format, Joe Root has become the 11th player to reach 11,000 runs. Sachin Tendulkar ranks first with 15,921 runs on the list of most runs scored in Test format.

From England, who has become only the second player after Sir Alastair Cook to do such a feat in Root Test format. The record for scoring most runs in the England Test format is held by Cook, who has scored 12,472 runs. After this, Joe Root is the second number, whose names have now been recorded in a total of 11,004 races in the Test format. Root has recorded 58 half centuries, 29 centuries in the Test format so far.

The second edition of the World Test Championship started in 2021 starting in July. At the same time, the final match of this edition will be played between Australia and India at The Oval on June 7. Joe Root has been the top run scorer in this edition. Root has scored a total of 1915 runs in 22 matches aided by 8 centuries and 6 half centuries.
