Jayson Tatum, following in the footsteps of LeBron James in the NBA Playoffs

Derrick White was the savior for the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, but it’s clear that Jayson Tatum is the leader of the Massachusetts team.

Tatum had 31 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Game 6 against Miami and with this he reached seven games with 30, 10 and 5 in this playoff run and tied LeBron James for the most games with those stats in a postseason.

Now, everything is set for the Celtics and Jayson Tatum to complete an epic feat that 150 teams have failed to achieve. Game 7 of the Conference Final between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat will be on Monday, May 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Jayson Tatum’s 30-10-5 matches in 2023

Boston’s playoff participation in the 2022-23 season began against the Atlanta Hawks and the Celtics needed a superlative Tatum to eliminate them in Game 6. In that commitment, the forward signed a game of 30 units, 14 boards and seven assists.

In the semifinals they faced the Philadelphia 76ers and, although they lost the first game, Tatum had 39 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. The second game with a 30-10-5 was the defeat in the fifth commitment of the series in which he signed a 36-10-5.

Tatum and the Celtics entered Game 7 with elimination head-on, but the four-time All-Star had his best playoff performance yet and he recorded 51 points, 13 rebounds and five assists to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Against Miami, he has gone two more games to 30-10-5. In the second of the series he put up 34 points, 13 boards and eight assists on the stat sheet and in Game 5, Boston’s first wingave his maximum effort with 34 points, 11 rebounds and seven assisted baskets.

After losing the first game of the opening round against the Pacers, Bron exploded for 46 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for tie the series. In Games 4 and 5 he signed performances of 32, 13 and seven and of 44, 10 and eightrespectively.

LeBron’s Cavaliers advanced to the Conference Finals against the Celtics after seven games against the Pacers and four against the Raptors. In the second game of the series against Boston, ‘The King’ added 42 units, 10 boards and 12 assists.

Cleveland reached Game 6 one step away from elimination and James responded with 46 points, 11 rebounds and nine assisted baskets. In Game 7 against Boston LBJ came close to a triple double as he sealed the series in his favor with 35 units, 15 boards and nine assists.

Unfortunately, the Cavaliers were swept by the Warriors in the Finals of the NBA and James had spectacular games, including 51 points in Game 1, but got his seventh 30-10-5 in the game 3 filling the stat sheet with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

James’ run in those playoffs finished with averages of 34 points, 9.1 rebounds and 9.0 assists.
