Jaydev Unadkat arrived in Chittagong for the second test, he was warmly welcomed by the India team

Left-arm fastball Jaydev Unadkat arrived in Chittagong on Thursday (Dec 15) and joined the Test squad. The 31-year-old fast bowler has been included in the Indian squad in place of Mohammed Shami. Shami was ruled out of the Bangladesh tour due to a shoulder injury. He suffered this injury during practice after returning from the T20 World Cup. Arriving in Chittagong, Unadkat was warmly welcomed by the India team.

Arriving in Chittagong, left-arm fastball Jaydev Unadkat received a warm welcome. During this, the BCCI tweeted and wrote: Hi Jaydev Unadkat, welcome back to Team India. However, this fast bowler from Saurashtra was unable to play in the first test match. However, he must hope that luck favors him in the second test match and that he too has a chance. After being included in the Test team, Unadkat thanked everyone.

Jaydev Unadkat has returned to the India team after 12 years. If he gets the chance against Bangladesh, he will play red ball cricket for India for only the second time. Before this, he played only one test match against South Africa in December 2010. After that, he was not selected in the test squad. During this he occasionally had a chance at white ball cricket. But since March 2018 he has not been included in the Indian squad for any format. To return to the India team, he focused on domestic cricket. He bowled exceptionally well in Ranji’s last two seasons. Recently, while captaining Saurashtra, he won the Vijay Hazare Trophy title for the team.
