The attacking midfielder from Cordoba Javier Pastore extended his contract for one season with the Elche club, from the first division of Spain, whose majority shareholder is the Argentine businessman Christian Bragarnik.
Pastore was “very happy” to be able to stay “one more year in Elche and to be able to participate in such an important year for the club as it is the centenary”.
The Argentine played 15 games last season, seven of them as a starter. “I want to tell you that for my part you are going to see a completely different player than last year, I am very excited and very different physically,” he commented.
“Thank you very much for all the love last year and this season it’s my turn to give back to you on the field. I hope we can all have fun together and that the stadium is a party. Much Elche!” Pastore concluded, reported the German news agency Dpa.
Pastore, 33, came from Talleres de Córdoba and later played for Huracán, Palermo, Paris Saint Germain and Rome.
