Jassel Pérez scores 29 and Titans beat Metros

Jassel Pérez had a night of 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Titanes of the National District to a 123-107 victory over the Santiago Metros, in a game held at the Oscar Gobaira Arena corresponding to the Super League of the LNB.

Perez also had two steals and a block for the Titans (3-4), who have won their last three games after starting 0-4. Derek St. Hilaire had 24 points, Keith Jordan 17 with 8 boards, Jaelyn Johnson also had 17 and MJ Rhett 15 with 9 sacks.

For the Metros (1-6), who now have a five-game losing streak, Michael Qualls shone with 30 points, 3 steals and 3 assists, Jean C. Iciano contributed 21 in scoring and Emmitt Williams 14 with 13 rebounds.

The winners entered the fourth quarter with a 6 lead and did not look back the rest of the way. At one point they led by 16 (115-99) when Jordan hit a 3-pointer with 1:37 to go.

In the first quarter, the Titans prevailed 30-27, led by 9 points from Rhett and 6 from both Pérez and Randy Bautista. Qualls and Iciano led the Metros with 10 and 8 points respectively.
