Jasprit Bumrah Returns to Mumbai Indians After Injury

The return of Jasprit Bumrah is a huge boost for the Mumbai Indians team, led by captain Hardik Pandya. After getting clearance from the BCCI, Bumrah joined the team and expressed his relief at finally getting the green light. With three losses in four matches, the Mumbai Indians are expected to strengthen their lineup with Bumrah’s return.

Bumrah, who made his international debut in 2016, is now a key bowler for India in all three formats. He has been with the Mumbai Indians since his IPL debut in 2013 and leads the team’s bowling attack. However, due to an injury, he has not played in this season so far.

In international cricket, Bumrah has played 45 Tests, 89 ODIs, and 70 T20 matches, taking 205, 149, and 89 wickets, respectively. He was injured during the fifth Test against Australia in January 2025 and has been out of action since. Despite his absence, India won the tournament.

Bumrah’s net worth is estimated to be around 60 crore rupees, with his main sources of income being his contract with the Indian team, IPL contract, and brand endorsements. He is currently listed in the BCCI’s central contract list in the A+ grade, which carries an annual salary of 7 crore rupees. Although the BCCI has not released the list for this year, Bumrah was retained by the Mumbai Indians for 18 crore rupees.

Here are Bumrah’s match fees:

  • Test match: 15 lakh rupees
  • ODI match: 7 lakh rupees
  • T20 match: 3 lakh rupees

Reports suggest that Bumrah owns several luxury cars, including a Mercedes-Maybach S 560 (2.54 crore rupees), Nissan GT-R (2.17 crore rupees), Range Rover Velar (90 lakh rupees), and Toyota Innova Crysta (25 lakh rupees).
