Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned for approximately 7 hours on Monday in the money laundering case related to thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. After this news, now comes the news that the actress has been summoned once by the Economic Crimes Wing for further questioning. Actually, her stylist Lipakshi was also summoned together with Jacqueline but for some reason she couldn’t appear before the EOW. The Economic Crimes Wing is to be questioned about the gifts given by Sukesh and now the investigation will resume once Lipakshi returns.
Special CPR Yadav of the economic crimes wing has reported that Jacqueline Fernandes will be summoned again for further interrogation and the investigation will start again after the arrival of her make-up artist Lipakshi.
Jacqueline Fernandez left the Delhi Police Economic Crimes Wing (EOW) office on Monday night after a day-long interrogation in the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Jacqueline’s confrontation with EOW came after testimony from Bollywood personality Nora Fatehi and Chandrashekhar’s assistant Pinky Irani. Nora Fatehi and Pinky Irani were questioned by the EOW last week.
Last Wednesday, the EOW questioned Jacqueline for more than eight hours on this case. After which Jacqueline was questioned again on Monday for the contradiction in the statements. According to the ED charge sheet, Jacqueline was aware of Chandrashekhar’s involvement in criminal activities, but she ignored them and engaged in financial dealings with the thugs.
Chandrashekhar was arrested for allegedly cheating and extorting some high-profile people, including Aditi Singh, wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, a former Fortis Healthcare promoter. The Enforcement Directorate has questioned a number of Bollywood actors and models for their alleged links to Chandrashekhar.
