Bangladesh has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead against India in the three-match ODI series. After losing the series, the Indian team can make some changes in the last ODI which will be played on December 10. Although India have lost the series, former Indian great Sunil Gavaskar believes that they should not make the mistake of taking the last match lightly. According to Gavaskar, winning the last ODI before the Test series is very important for India.
Speaking to Sony Sports, Gavaskar said: “They will have to pick their strongest team. Confidence must be gained before the next test matches. The Test and ODI teams are going to be different but the way Bangladesh bowls and bats is fantastic. India needs to win this match. Boost your confidence by winning the third ODI and try to win the test in Chittagong.
Bangladesh did not give the Indian team any chance by showing great play in the first two ODIs. In the first ODI, Bangladesh held India to a low score by bowling brilliantly and then took a thrilling victory with a wicket in hand. Despite losing six wickets for 69 runs in the second ODI, Bangladesh scored well and then defeated the Indian team by five runs. Mehndi Hasan Miraj was man of the match in both matches. Miraj played a brilliant 100 not out innings in the second ODI. In the first match he had also made Bangladesh win.
