Six Palestinians trapped in a supposedly very secure prison in Israel escaped by making a hole in the floor of their cell with a teaspoon. The Palestinian clan considers them national heroes.
In Israel, the escape of six Palestinian prisoners, who dug a hole with a teaspoon in their cell, is surprising. The hole joins a cavity under the prison, where there is nothing but mud and discarded clothing. Farther into this cavity, the prisoners dug another hole to reach the outside. No one knows how long this escape from the Hollywood movie script took to materialize.
This maximum security prison is considered ultra-safe, but it took only two holes of a few centimeters to humiliate Israeli authorities. They didn’t want to talk on camera. Most of these detainees were serving life sentences for acts of terrorism. One of them has been called Israel’s number one public enemy. The Palestinian clan rejoices in the fugitives.
