The collision involved a Chevrolet Corsa and a Lifan 320, with the latter ending up on its side. According to sources close to the incident, who spoke to News Agency, the driver of the Lifan suffered minor injuries but has since been discharged from medical care. Meanwhile, the two occupants of the Corsa were fortunate to escape unscathed.

The accident occurred at the intersection where vehicles attempting to access Colombia Street are required to yield, as indicated by a “ceda el paso” sign. The incident has been confirmed by the Traffic Division of the Montevideo Intendencia, which reported a “traffic accident on Av. de las Leyes and Colombia, resulting in the obstruction of the Legislative Palace’s circumvalation.” As a result, traffic in the area has been disrupted.
