Iranian sports minister’s helicopter crashes, one person killed

The helicopter of Iran’s sports minister Hamid Sajjadi crashed in the south-central region, with 12 people on board, one person was killed and several others including the minister were injured.

According to Allami media, the helicopter of Sports Minister Hamid Sajjadi crashed on Thursday when it was about to land at the sports complex in Baft city of Kerman province.

According to the report, the sports minister has suffered head injuries, he also suffered brain bleeding, Hamid Sajjadi and other injured were taken to the hospital.

According to the media, Ismail Ahmadi, adviser to the Minister of Sports, was killed in a helicopter accident.

Erna quoted the governor of Kerman, Muhammad Mehdi Fidakar, as saying that the cause of the accident is being investigated.

It should be noted that in January, the European Union also imposed sanctions on Sports Minister Hamid Sajjadi in response to Tehran’s crackdown on anti-government protesters.

After the death of Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish woman of Iranian origin, in Iran in September last year in police custody, in which many more people were killed by security forces, these protests continued for several months.
