The president of Iran refused to give an interview to a female anchor for not wearing a hijab.
According to international media reports, on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York, the famous anchor of CCN, Christian Amanpour, has been canceled by the Iranian president due to his refusal to wear hijab.
CNN’s chief international anchor, who has interviewed Iranian presidents several times in the past, was advised to wear hijab, which she flatly refused.
On Twitter, the anchor shared a picture with an empty chair reserved for an interview and wrote that since she is currently in New York, no law applies to her to wear hijab.
And so we walked away. The interview didn’t happen. As protests continue in Iran and people are being killed, it would have been an important moment to speak with President Raisi. 7/7 pic.twitter.com/kMFyQY99Zh

He wrote that this was the first interview given to any media by Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly. On which he refused to take the headscarf.
It should be noted that the protests against the hijab have intensified in Iran and the anti-government protests have spread to many cities.
