Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanani has said that the Ukrainian president’s false claims against Iran and statements based on anti-Iranian propaganda are part of the media war.
He said that the purpose of the Ukrainian president’s criticism of the drones is to extract weapons and aid from the West. Only through these false claims can Ukraine get more weapons and financial aid from Western countries. Kanani added that Ukraine has refused to allow an independent investigation into its claims.
It should be noted that Iran initially denied supplying the Shahid drones to Russia, but later said that it had supplied a small number of these drones to Russia before the conflict began. Kiev, on the other hand, says that drones have played an important role in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
In a video address yesterday, Ukrainian President Zelensky demanded that Iran is going to the dark side of history by supplying drones to Moscow and Iran should be stopped from doing so.
