Chinese smartphone maker iQOO has unveiled its latest flagship, the iQOO 15, in China, positioning it as a high-performance gaming device powered by Qualcomm’s newest premium processor and an industry-leading battery capacity.
The iQOO 15 features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This 3-nanometer processor operates at speeds up to 4.60 GHz, a significant upgrade from the iQOO 13’s Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4).
To further boost gaming performance, the device includes a dedicated Q3 chip. It is paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, running on OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16.
A standout feature is the 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. This large capacity supports 100 W wired fast charging and 40 W wireless charging, along with bypass charging and reverse power delivery.
The smartphone also incorporates a substantial 14,000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system to manage heat during intensive use.
Its display is a Samsung M14 AMOLED panel with 2K resolution. It supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,600 Nits, and 2,160 Hz high-frequency dimming. The screen is compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ standards and includes an under-display fingerprint sensor.
For photography, the iQOO 15 is equipped with a versatile camera system. This includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel camera handles selfies, and an RGB light strip accents the rear camera module.
The device boasts dual speakers and IP68+IP69 water and dust resistance, protecting it in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes and against high-pressure water up to 80 degrees Celsius. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual-band GPS.
The iQOO 15 is available in several versions, including Track Edition (black), Legendary Edition (white), Lingyun, and Wilderness (light green). There is also a special Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition.
Pricing for the iQOO 15 in China starts at 4,199 Chinese Yuan (approximately $580) for the 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage model. The 16 GB RAM with 1 TB storage configuration is priced at 5,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately $760). The Honor of Kings Collector’s Edition, with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, is also 5,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately $760).
