Australian fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins were showered with money at the IPL auction. Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore. At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad spent Rs 20.50 crore on Australian captain Pat Cummins. In fact, this happened for the first time when the bidding for a player in the IPL auction reached the sum of Rs 20 crore. Previously, Sam Curran was the most expensive player in IPL history. In the IPL 2023 auction, the Punjab Kings bought Sam Curran for Rs 18.50 crore.

If Pat Cummins plays 14 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad at the same time, he will bowl 4 overs of his quota i.e. 336 balls. In such a situation, the price of 1 ball of Pat Cummins is Rs 6.1 lakh. But if Sunrisers Hyderabad reach the final and Pat Cummins plays all the matches, the price of a ball from the Australian captain will be Rs 5 lakh.

Mitchell Starc is believed to play in all of Kolkata Knight Riders’ matches. If Mitchell Starc plays in 14 games, he bowls 4 overs, which is 336 balls. In this way, the price of 1 ball of Mitchell Starc is Rs 7.40 lakh. But if the Kolkata Knight Riders team reaches the final, Mitchell Starc will be able to play a maximum of 17 games, which means he will be able to bowl 408 balls. If this happens, the price of Mitchell Starc’s 1 ball will be Rs 6.1 lakh.
