Mohammed Shami Breaks Zaheer Khan Record in IND vs BAN Champions Trophy Match

The second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is underway between the Indian cricket team and Bangladesh in Dubai. After winning the toss, Bangladesh batted first, but their entire team collapsed for 228 runs in 49.4 overs. However, Jacker Ali and Tauheed Hridaya had a significant impact, taking Bangladesh to this score with a record 154-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Tauheed Hridaya scored a brilliant century, while Jacker Ali scored 68 runs.

Mohammed Shami was the star of the show for India, doing wonders with the ball. He achieved a record by taking 5 wickets for 53 runs in 10 overs, becoming the bowler to complete 200 wickets from the least balls in ODIs. Shami broke Mitchell Starc’s record, who took 200 wickets from 5240 balls, while Shami reached 200 wickets in just 5126 balls. This was Shami’s 5th five-wicket haul in the ICC ODI tournament.
