IPL 2025 Final to be Played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium

The stage is set for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final, scheduled to take place on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This decision was made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after a lengthy meeting on Tuesday. The stadium will also host the first qualifier match on June 1.

Earlier, the first qualifier match was set to take place on May 29, possibly at the Mullanpur stadium in New Chandigarh. The eliminator match, scheduled for May 30, might also be held at the same venue. According to a report by Cricketbuzz, the BCCI chose these venues considering the weather, as the rainy season is approaching in the country.

The BCCI’s decision to choose Ahmedabad as the final venue is reportedly due to the upcoming rainy season. IPL 2025 has already seen Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Gujarat Titans (GT) qualify for the playoffs. Either Delhi Capitals or Mumbai Indians will take the fourth spot. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are out of the playoff race.

Initially, the IPL 2025 final was set to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, but due to India-Pakistan tensions, the tournament was postponed for about a week. As a result, the final was rescheduled from May 25 to June 3. Now, it’s confirmed that the IPL 2025 final will be held on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
