IPL 2022: Umran Malik participates in the Purple Cap race, the distance of only so many wickets from the leading bowler

Sunrisers Hyderabad fast pitcher Umran Malik can also win the Purple Cap in this IPL season. By taking 3 wickets against Kolkata in last night’s match, he has taken his total number of wickets to 18. He is just 5 wickets behind Wanindu Hasaranga, the biggest wicket-taker this season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Wanindu has taken 23 wickets in 13 matches so far this season with a bowling average of 14.65. His bowling economy has been 7.48. Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also taken 23 wickets this season. Both bowlers lead the race to win the Purple Cap.
