IPL 2022: Hardik Pandya’s reaction to the Matthew Wade case, said this about DRS

Matthew Wade was out lbw in the match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore. After leaving, he came to the dressing room and there he got angry. Wade bangs his bat and helmet in the locker room. Captain Hardik Pandya has reacted to Wade’s dismissal. He regretted not giving Wade the benefit of technology.

During the IPL match between Gujarat and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), there was a debate about Glenn Maxwell hitting Wade as the ‘ultraage’ did not show that the ball had touched the bat while visually La ball appeared to have touched the bat. . Hardik said after the game: “I think there was a little (spike) in UltraEdge. It didn’t show on the big screen. You can’t make a mistake. If the technology isn’t helping, I don’t know who will.”

Wade was upset by the call as he was convinced that Maxwell’s ball had hit the bag with his bat, so he turned to the Decision Review System (DRS) immediately after being handed off.

In ‘Ultraage’, however, this was not made clear and the third referee left the decision to the field referee. Hardik said: “Obviously it’s not personal to anyone, but technology sometimes helps and sometimes it doesn’t. This time it didn’t help. But more often than not it has worked and reversed the wrong decisions.

Gujarat, who had already reached the playoffs, lost to RCB in this match by eight wickets. Regarding giving fewer overs to Mohammed Shami and Lockie Ferguson, Hardik said: “We wanted to give Lockie a chance, but the ball was getting a bit stagnant, so we tried slow bowlers.”
