Hardik said: “Obviously it’s not personal to anyone, but technology sometimes helps and sometimes it doesn’t. This time it didn’t help. But more often than not it has worked and reversed the wrong decisions.
Gujarat, who had already reached the playoffs, lost to RCB in this match by eight wickets. Regarding giving fewer overs to Mohammed Shami and Lockie Ferguson, Hardik said: “We wanted to give Lockie a chance, but the ball was getting a bit stagnant, so we tried slow bowlers.”
Hardik said being at the top of the points standings is a positive for him. “Given the way we perform, it’s important to be in the top two because it gives you two chances to get to the final,” he said.
