South Koreans have requested Interpol to put Terra’s founder, Do Kwon, on the red list.

Prosecutors Ask Interpol to ‘Red Notice’ Against Do Kwon

The Seoul District Attorney’s Office has started proceedings to place Do Kwon on Interpol’s red list and revoke his passport. This was reported by the Financial Times on September 19. If the application is approved, a report will be sent to police in 195 countries around the world.

This move comes after Singapore police confirmed that Do Kwon is no longer in Singapore. Terra founder Do Kwon tweeted that he is not on the run and said he will work with authorities.

However, the prosecutors have refuted his defence. He was said to be “clearly on the run”. There would be sufficient evidence to defend the claim. In addition, Do Kwon had hired lawyers to make it clear that he did not intend to show up for questioning.

The Seoul District Attorney’s Office has ordered a South Korean court to issue arrest warrants against Do Kwon. The same applies to five board members, because of violation of the law on the capital market. Prosecutors are currently trying to determine Do Kwon’s whereabouts.

On the run since Terra-LUNA crisis

The entry on the Interpol red list is a request to law enforcement agencies in 195 countries. The purpose of such a red list entry is to track down an individual pending extradition or similar legal action. Red Notices are issued for fugitives wanted to serve a sentence.

In addition, prosecutors allege that Do Kwon has been on the run since the Terra-LUNA crisis in May. Terra executives, including Do Kwon, have fled to Singapore to work and are not cooperating with the investigation.

We are doing our best to locate and arrest him. He is clearly on the run as the key financial people of his company also moved to the same country during that period.
