Inflation-stricken protests in Libya set parliament on fire

Tripoli: The economic situation in Libya has been met with patience and the protesters have taken to the streets.

According to foreign media, power outages, petrol shortages and the worst inflation in the Libyan city of Tobruk have made the people angry.

According to media reports, protesters set fire to the Parliament House. Angry mobs stormed parliament at night, first vandalizing and then setting fire.

Flames blazing in viral photos and videos on social media could be seen in the dark from afar.

Anti-government rallies are being held by the people in different cities including the capital. The people demand immediate elections so that the economic situation can improve.
