The Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) began distributing more than five thousand food rations to those affected by Hurricane Fiona in the provinces La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, El Seibo and La Romana, through mobile warehouses.

The servings contain a chicken, salami, rice, beans, pigeon peas, canned sardines, canned corn, plantains, potatoes, spaghetti, elbows, onion, garlic, sweet potatoes, cassava, bread, liquid milk.

The operations were led by the director of Inespre, Iván Hernández Guzmán, and began on Tuesday at the location of the Higüey entity in the Aviation sector.

While, this Wednesday, rations were distributed in the sectors of La Florida, La Malena, Los Platanitos, Villa Palmera, Las Siete Lagunas, Soto Abajo, La Otra Banda, Villa María, El Obispado, Haiti Chiquito, El Cerro, Jobo Dulce, La Caoba, Mamá Tingó, January 21, at kilometer 8 of the Seibo and Higüey highway, in the same province.

In the afternoon two units were sent to Miches and two for savannah of the sea in the coastal area.

The minister reported that this Thursday (tomorrow) they will visit other sectors of El Hato Mayor and La Romana until the delivery of said rations is completed.
